The Insight Library

Elemetric Health

Combining KPIs, data visualisation, benchmarks, and data strategy to enable better patient support

Overview

The Insight Library was born out of the need to create an accessible, streamlined platform for data management in the patient support sector. The goal was to provide seamless access to frameworks that simplify KPIs, visualisations, and benchmarks, while also offering a robust data strategy for identifying, managing, and analysing data quality and gaps.

Background

Elemetric Health is a healthcare analytics startup based in Sydney, Australia, and helping organisations turn complex medical data into actionable insights. By combining innovative data applications with expert consulting, it enables clients to extract value from both public and private health datasets.

Challenge

Elemetric Health’s vision at this point was to make it easy and fast for the healthcare industry to create personalised, predictive, and impactful patient support programs.

To support this vision, the primary objective was to transform the idea from spreadsheets into an interactive prototype. This included incorporating sample data visualisations and KPI metrics to better guide healthcare professionals in developing customised patient support programs.

Onboarding

The project began with a conceptual Excel spreadsheet modelling the complexity of developing a patient support program from raw datasets through an onboarding process. To validate assumptions, I transformed static rows into an interactive Figma prototype, mapping data fields to dynamic UI components. This shift revealed hidden friction points in multi-step forms.

Rapid wireframing established core navigation patterns, while micro-interactions simulated conditional logic from spreadsheet rules. The functional prototype integrated conditional validation and progress persistence, evolving the spreadsheet’s rigid structure into an intuitive, adaptive experience.

Solution

The Insight Library Dashboard was designed to transform complex healthcare data into clear, actionable insights for professionals managing patient support programs. By integrating dynamic KPIs, data visualisations, and custom filters, the goal was to create an intuitive interface that supports healthcare professionals in making informed decisions.

The design prioritised simplifying data interactions while maintaining flexibility for personalised patient plans. Key functionalities such as progress tracking and conditional validation were incorporated, enabling users to efficiently navigate and manage patient data. This approach ensured the dashboard met both functional requirements and provided a seamless, user-centred experience.

The customisation enables healthcare professionals to select datasets that are crucial to each case and provides a detailed overview to support better decision-making that helps patients.
